Environmental focus and circular economy

WE HAVE A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

As a furniture manufacturer, we share in the great collective responsibility of protecting nature and the environment, and we therefore work to continuously improve our environmental efforts.

Materials

The materials we use for our products are carefully selected with the environment in mind, and our range of furniture made from recycled materials is growing rapidly. We also source our materials from certified suppliers (ISO 14001), and selected products are certified with EU Ecolabel.

All steel used in production is RoHS Directive No. 2011/65/EC and REACH Directive No. 2002/95/EC, and aluminum frames are made from up to 100% recycled aluminum. We use eco-chrome, comply with paint coating standards (DS/EN ISO 1456), and eliminate any risk of nickel allergy.

We use FSC-certified wood, which guarantees, among other things, that no more trees are felled than the forest can reproduce.

All plastic materials are produced in accordance with PAH (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons) limits – a selection is produced entirely or partially from recycled polypropylene granulate.

We also offer several types of eco-label-certified fabrics—for example, varieties made from up to 100% recycled polyester, produced from plastic pellets derived from plastic bottles.

In addition, we guarantee a long service life for every single product. But our environmental efforts extend beyond production; it’s also important to us that our products can be disposed of with as small an environmental footprint as possible, which is why our furniture can be easily disassembled and sorted for recycling at the end of its life cycle.

The UN Sustainable Development Goals

Savir Design supports the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. However, we have chosen to focus on the goals where we, as a manufacturing company, can make the biggest difference – namely #SDG3, #SDG8, #SDG12, SDG13, #SDG14, and #SDG17.

If you would like to know more about our overall sustainability policy, you can read and/or download our sustainability catalog below. You can also read about our Code of Conduct for our suppliers, which has been drawn up in accordance with the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact.

ENVIRONMENTAL LABELING

Eco-labeling is an important tool that helps us communicate our commitment to climate responsibility to our customers and business partners. By choosing eco-friendly materials, optimizing
our production processes, and ensuring that our products meet strict environmental standards, we strive to minimize our ecological footprint.

We work closely with certification bodies and relevant stakeholders to ensure that our furniture meets the standards of recognized eco-labels. This involves a thorough assessment of both raw materials and production methods, which not only helps protect the environment but also promotes more environmentally responsible consumer behavior.

Our goal is not only to provide high-quality furniture, but also to create value for our customers through environmentally responsible solutions. We believe that our efforts in the area of eco-labeling will contribute to a greener
future while also strengthening our position in the market as a responsible company.

We are committed to continuing our efforts to improve our environmental performance and will continuously evaluate and optimize our processes to ensure that we meet both our own standards and our customers’ expectations. We had set a goal that by 2026, 40% of
our chairs would be labeled with the Ecolabel, and we exceeded that goal by the end of 2025, with 50.7% of all our chairs now bearing the EU Ecolabel—a fact we are incredibly proud of.

ESG REPORT

At a time when climate, the environment, and social responsibility play such a significant role, it is only natural for us as a company to actively engage in ESG reporting. We are committed to ensuring transparency regarding our efforts and work in the areas of social responsibility, the environment, and corporate governance. ESG reporting allows us to document our initiatives that impact the climate, as well as our considerations and efforts toward improvement.
